Dear all,
You may have seen Mayor Perry posting a cheerful update suggesting that despite all our opposition, Croydon Council are still pursuing leasehold sale of the building, with no public consultation.
Our petition was formally submitted on the 3rd of March, and we have yet to receive a response.
We think it's unacceptable that Perry can visit the house to film a video claiming he wants to 'protect' the house and repeating previous statements, whilst offering no transparency nor responding to those he claims to serve.
We are still calling for;
- IMMEDIATELY HALT ANY FORM OF SALE
- Long overdue, meaningful public community consultation.
- Disclose all details of decision making related to Heathfield.
What can you do?
- Email Jason Perry to insist he respond to us, initiate public consultation, and release all details of decision-making regarding the house. We're sure he'd love to hear from you; mayor@croydon.gov.uk
- Share the petition again.
- Distribute flyers and posters using our designs here.
- Want to help? Know anything about what's happening behind the scenes? Email us in complete confidentiality.
We will be arranging public protests at Heathfield over the next couple of days. Send your availability here so we can find out the best day. They will be bold, fun and show just what we can do when we come together!
