The page and petition are going exceptionally well.  The coalition has a weekly Friday afternoon zoom update.  Now, get out and hike the creek.  Out of Canon City take First Street south off the main drag, go about a mile to Temple Canon Road, turn right, go for about 20 minutes on the gravel road until you cross the creek.  Park and walk, especially go up stream.  I recommend wearing old sneakers that can survive multiple stream crossings and hiking poles as a must have.  Wet feet will keep you nice and cool.  Wear long pants to ward off the occasional cacti and saw grass hitch-hikers. Be ready to be amazed at the natural beauty and keep your eye open for the resident herd of big horn sheep.
