Hello friends: This link takes you to the petition to stop a gold mine application 1,000 feet above Grape Creek/Temple Canon which is just a few miles outside of Canon City and a most favorite place to stroll.
Fremont County Commissioners will decide whether to grant a permit or not. The mine operators predict they will use 65,000,000 gallons of ground water per year and employ up to 90 people on site.
