Thanks to you all, we have now passed 100 signatures! Next goal is 200,so tell your friends!
Coincidently, we got our GoFundMe account back in operation yesterday after some tricky maneuvers by the Pro-Demolition Team had held us up for a while.
But now we are back in business and accepting donations, if you are so inclined.
We have started reaching out to city officials and candidates using the leverage of our success with signatures as signs of a potential voting block, in order to get their support and maybe endorsement. Your signatures are at work!
Next big expense we have is a report that documents the Sanctuary as a candidate for Historic Landmark status which must be prepared by a Certified Expert. The San Jose Preservation Action Committee (SJPAC) has pledged money to defray some of the cost of this report, but our portion of it stands to be $1,800-$2,300, depending on the amount of SJPAC's contribution. This is the next step to get Landmark status and apparently not cheap. Donations are accepted gratefully.
Thanks again for your support!
