We have followed your campaign to rescue the apes at the Pata Zoo, and I am writing to see if there is any specific role GRASP might play that could support this effort. Kind regards, Doug ---- "The Voice" is another active animal activist group run by a movie star who joined us to wish Buanoi well on Boxing Day which was also a National Wildlife Protection Day. Pata owner does not seem to notice his run down zoo standard. He clings to his view of being a conservationist who preserves the one and only gorilla in Thailand at his best capacity in term of Buanoi's health and welfare, not mentioned the spiritual dimension of Buanoi. Somehow he promised to set up a plan to bring her down within 4 years from now. He has no wish to relocate her overseas. Likely she has to spend the rest of her time in Thailand alone with no gorilla partners. The kind advice on this complicated issues of Buanoi may need to be discussed on an international platform for the best way out. I have sent a letter to MNRE on National Wildlife Protection Day to revise the zoo law standard in Thailand and to take notice of Pata Zoo license who expired on 30th June 2015. We hope to hear from GRASP (United Nations' Great Apes Survival Partnership) what we can do for Buanoi.
