A very important news story has just been published highlighting the serious concerns around Greenwich Council’s plans for Adventure Play Centres.
Across our borough, families are deeply worried that proposed changes — including removal of staff supervision and possible closures — could leave vulnerable children at risk.
As a full-time carer for my autistic son, I know first-hand how vital these centres are. They are not just play spaces — they provide safe environments, professional support, and much-needed respite for families and carers.
I have been proud to support and lead the campaign, including online petition of Save Glyndon Play Centre, alongside residents and other campaigners.
While there has been some progress — including saving Plumstead Adventure Play Centre — serious concerns remain, especially around Glyndon, Woolwich and other sites.
👉 Removing supervision will impact:
* Children with additional needs
* Families and carers balancing work and care
* Community safety and wellbeing
Many residents feel their voices have not been fully heard.
This is not just a policy issue — this is about real families, real children, and real support systems.
📢 I will continue to stand with residents to:
✔ Protect Adventure Play Centres
✔ Ensure proper support for vulnerable children
✔ Hold the council accountable
🙏 Please read and share this important story and continue supporting the campaign.
Together, we can make sure no child is left behind.
