Save Gauntlet — Keep Battlefield 6’s Unique Competitive Mode Alive
To Battlefield Studios, DICE, Ripple Effect and Electronic Arts
We are asking Battlefield Studios to reconsider the decision to remove Gauntlet from the active REDSEC playlist lineup in Season 5.
We understand the stated concern: Gauntlet represents a smaller portion of REDSEC activity and maintaining multiple playlists can affect matchmaking.
But removing the mode globally is not the only solution.
Gauntlet offers something no other Battlefield 6 mode currently replaces: objective play, squad coordination, mechanical skill, positioning, adaptation and elimination pressure combined into a competitive round-based experience.
For many of us, Gauntlet isn't another REDSEC playlist.
It is the reason we launch Battlefield 6.
Removing Gauntlet does not mean those players will automatically move to Rapid Royale. Many may simply stop playing REDSEC.
We are not asking Battlefield Studios to remove or reduce support for Rapid Royale.
We are asking for Gauntlet to remain playable.
If permanent matchmaking cannot be maintained everywhere, there are alternatives:
Keep permanent matchmaking in regions where population supports it.
Use scheduled or regional rotations where necessary.
Provide a fully supported Gauntlet preset through Server Browser, Portal or Custom Lobbies with normal progression.
Run a Season 5 population test before permanently removing matchmaking.
Gauntlet is one of Battlefield 6’s most distinctive modes.
Battle Royale and resurgence-style modes exist across many shooters.
Gauntlet is Battlefield's own idea.
Our request is simple:
Keep Gauntlet playable throughout Season 5 and give its community the opportunity to demonstrate that a sustainable player base still exists.
We support new Battlefield content.
We support Rapid Royale getting its chance.
But one community should not have to disappear for another mode to exist.
Save Gauntlet.
