After seeing the “For Sale” sign posted out front of Gas City Speedway, I wanted to find out what was actually happening before everyone started speculating.

I reached out directly to Jack Himelick’s office this morning, and here is what I was able to confirm directly from the office and share:

The Gas City Speedway property is being privately offered for $2,000,000.

The property is approximately 37 acres and includes:

🏁 The main track and parking
🚗 Additional parking
🛣️ SR 22 access near Interstate 69
🏢 All buildings on the property
🍳 Kitchen equipment
📍 Located between Fort Wayne and Indianapolis

Groundskeeping equipment is not included in the sale.

One thing I want to make clear:
Please do not bombard the Himelick family or their small business with calls asking for information about the speedway.

Because I knew this information could generate a lot of interest, I went ahead and made the call myself this morning so I could get accurate information directly from the office.

Anyone who is genuinely interested in the possible purchase of Gas City Speedway should contact Himelick Gravel Company directly using the phone number shown in the photo of the sign.

I'm intentionally not posting the phone number as text because I don't want to make it any easier for spam callers to scrape and abuse their number.

This is a pretty significant development for Gas City Speedway.
For everyone who has supported the effort to preserve this place over the years, there is now a real opportunity sitting in front of us.

Approximately 37 acres.
The track.
The buildings.
The parking.
SR 22 access.
$2 million asking price.

If you've ever seriously talked about saving Gas City Speedway, this is the point where talking needs to turn into action.

Share this with your racing friends, local racing groups, and anyone who may have the resources or connections to make something happen.

I'll share additional information as it becomes available and as we can verify it.
