Save Freeview Campaign Update
We are making strong progress in our campaign to stop the switch-off of terrestrial, aerial-based, TV by 2034. Our political pressure has forced the Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, to concede that he is “concerned” about his own Government’s plans and that he will “have a proper look at it”!
As the Government considers its response to the Media Green Paper in the coming weeks, we need to keep our concerns alive by lobbying MPs. We are asking MPs to press the Government to reject the 2034 switch off and to sign the cross-party letter to the PM backing the alternative 2044 timetable. To this end we have prepared an MPs’ briefing document, available on the link below:
Please send this briefing to your own MP and ask them to support our campaign, as outlined in the MPs’ Briefing. It is very important that all supporters do this so that we can exert maximum political pressure at this vital time. You can find the contact details of your MP at the following link:
