The Government appears to be going 'full monty' in favour of digitalisation without any regard for the millions who face being left behind and isolated. The next in line is FM radio, with the Government announcing last week that they are reviewing "whether there should be managed transition away from FM in the 2030s". Taken together with the threats to Freeview and the botched programme to switch traditional landlines to inferior internet-based alternatives, this amounts to a concerted attack on the communication rights of millions of older, disabled and low income families.
