The Piping Plover bird is a protected species nationally and in Michigan. It nests on the flat ground. Please send any photos you have taken of them on Fisherman's Landing Campground.  Also, include date taken, your name and address and contact info. Thank you!!!

Notice the Piping Plover only has one ring around its neck.

The Kildeer, a different bird, has two black rings around its neck. The Kildeer is not protected.

The Piping Plover is documented to be at Muskegon State Park. So, it is possible it could be at Fisherman's Landing and Campground as well.
