First of all, thank you so much for every signature and every person you passed the petition along to. The support of the community has been very uplifting. 

We made some progress last night, having 3 board members attend our monthly parent meeting. The conversation was heated, frustrating, and emotional. No promises were made, and we are left with just a glimmer of hope that we can still change their minds. We only have 2 more board meetings before final lay off notices and final decisions are made. 

If you are willing, please join us at the board meeting this Thursday, April 30th at the Serna Center 5735 47th Avenue, Sac. You can give public comment if you like, or simply be there to show a mass of support. Please arrive by 6:00 pm at the latest, so we can get organized and prepared for public comment.
