WE DID IT ❤️
17 days ago, our families were told East Sydney Early Learning would close in November.
Today, we get to say: Darlo is staying open.
60 childcare places. 92 children currently enrolled. 121 families waiting. And, most importantly, an extraordinary team of educators and a community that refused to let this centre disappear.
This happened because people showed up, listened and helped us find a way forward.
A huge thank you to Lord Mayor Clover Moore and the City of Sydney, Alex Greenwich MP, Allegra Spender MP, Georgie Dent, Cr Zann Maxwell, Cr Sylvie Ellsmore, Cr Matthew Thompson and Cr Adam Worling for standing with our families.
And to Burcu and every one of our incredible educators thank you for continuing to show up for our children every single day while all of this was happening. ❤️
Finally, thank you to the City of Sydney and Goodstart Early Learning for coming together and finding a solution.
