Dear Supporters,

Just to let you know Councillor Bell has kindly agreed to let me speak this evening at the Full Cabinet meeting which will decide on the future our seven libraries in the Ealing borough; Greenford, Hanwell, Northfields, Perivale, Pitshanger, West Ealing & Wood End Libraries. The residents/library users of Ealing have collectively come together to object to Ealing's Draft Library Strategy 2019-2013. There will be representations too from James Conlon, (UNISON), Carolyn Brown (Hanwell Library Users Group), Peter Ludbrook (Hanwell Library), Sue New (Northfields Library) and John Martin (Pitshanger Library). Before the Cabinet meeting we invite families and friends to join us outside the Council from 6 pm for another Protest Photo Call at 6.30 pm. Carolyn Brown who has updated the overall petitions, confirms we now have a total of 17, 050 signatures OPPOSED to the Draft Stragey; 
that proposes drastic cuts to our library services by using community managed unpaid volunteers in the above libraries, to lay off existent paid professional librarians, and/or close these libaries if community volunteer mangers cannot be found or if the arrangements end up collapsing. Please come and show the Council your support this evening and/or continue to share the petition too.
