Notwithstanding the issue of this meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee not being compliant with the Open Meetings Law and insensitively being held on Good Friday during Passover, with less than 24 hours advance notice on the SA website, SA is obviously considering to divest from Dippikill to bail SA out because SA (and not Dippikill) overspent your budget in 2023 by $871,000 and because you just settled an employer-employee labor law overtime violation dispute. This has the appearance of a maliciously and vindictive SA Administration looking to punish Dippikill staff by rushing to dispose of the property in the 11th hour to punish Dippikill employees and deny future employment as you start to put on your caps and gowns and ride off into the sunset.
Selling or defunding your Dippikill subsidiary/affiliate corporation is not doing what is in the best interests of current and future students and alumni as stakeholders here. This is an 11th hour mismanagement bail out so you don't have to make group funding sacrifices next year.
I believe SA President Rose installed two Dippikill chairs who had agendas to dispose of Dippikill by the end of this semester. The closure was part of that agenda.
This hearing is a sham.
