Dear Supporters,
Your dedication and commitment are beginning to bear fruit, and the world is taking notice. A significant milestone has just been achieved in our fight for Democracy and Human Rights in Pakistan. A group of Canadian lawmakers, members of the Canada-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, have voiced their grave concern about the situation unfolding in Pakistan and have sent a letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The lawmakers condemn the escalating human rights violations, the arbitrary arrests, and violence, especially against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party workers. They stressed the importance of democratic principles, the rule of law, and freedom of expression. They called for fair trials in civilian courts, and prompt and transparent proceedings, particularly in the case of former prime minister Imran Khan whose arrest was deemed illegal and unjust by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
These Canadian lawmakers have pledged to monitor the situation closely and advocate for democracy, embodying the spirit of our cause. It's an affirmation of our combined efforts, a testament that together, we can influence change.
Your voice is being heard, and your action is making an impact. Let's keep the momentum going. Share our petition with more friends and family, continue advocating for human rights in Pakistan, and remind them that every signature counts.
Thank you so much for helping Pakistan!
