Dear Valued Supporter and Community Member,

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support in signing our petition. Within 3 weeks we received almost 2500 signatures and many letters of support - Thank you! Your involvement has not gone unnoticed, it has caught the attention of DCC although promised meetings to resolve the issue have not happened or been scheduled. 

We find ourselves at a pivotal moment and need to keep the pressure on to ensure DDC takes action, otherwise we will lose momentum and run out of time.

We hope that Letters of Support will hold clout at the meetings to be scheduled in the coming weeks and will lead us closer to a positive solution.  If you can, please lend your name and weight with a Letter of Support that will go directly to the heads of DCC.

These letters will echo the same request that is in the petition:

DCC urgently guarantees our tenancy with a lease, to ensure our long-term survival.
That Dublin City Council immediately undertakes the necessary and required fire safety works while respecting our occupancy of the space. 

The thought of D-Light Studios closing its doors is deeply saddening, not just for us who have poured our hearts and souls into this space, but also for the wider community of Dublin, especially the North Inner City. The potential loss is significant, and it would be another blow to Dublin's already struggling arts and cultural landscape.

In the meantime, we are sharing a recent article from the Dublin Enquirer with you. The article highlights the numerous times DCC have pledged money to regenerate the building, including offering matching funding of almost €2.5m in 2020. If they have this money, why haven’t they already installed at least a fire alarm system which costs a mere fraction of this? We only hope D-Light will not become another hotel or block of apartments sold off to foreign investors.
