There are some lovely comments on the petition and social media pages showing how much the allotments mean to the community including this message from Combe Down Allotments Facebook page "We have received some wonderful letters of support for #saveCDallotments from older villagers, who remember our allotments as children 60 or 70 years ago and who have brought up their own families to enjoy gardening here and who cherish this local green space. They are devastated to hear that their grandchildren and great grandchildren may never get to experience the pleasures of #allotmentlife"
