Sandra is one of the residents who is facing ‘rehoming’ due to Leonard Cheshires decision to close the Chiltern House. She was a teacher until a long term condition and accident brought her to Chiltern House over 25 years ago, she settled in, found the love of her life when she met another resident, Bob who has since sadly passed away. She regularly attends the local United Reform church in Gerrards Cross and draws great comfort from the support she gets there. She can regularly be found doing a puzzle with a cuppa and she spent many years on the customer council giving feedback to the trustees of the charity. Sandra was expecting to live at Chiltern House for the rest of her life. The shock of the news along with the stress of leaving her home and the family created there over the years can not be underestimated.
