Well it was a whirlwind two days! We met with close to 50 Representatives and Senators and held a Board meeting. 

We were a united front, standing up for easier access to quality midwifery care for Alaskan families. We were able to explain to them the basics of midwifery, the midwifery model of care, speak to the maternity health care crisis and maternity care deserts in Alaska, especially the rural communities, all while highlighting how Alaskan midwives can help.

All in all it was an amazing two days spent in the capital!
