This petition, totalling 4,248 signatures (online and on paper combined), was presented and debated at Chesterfield Borough Council's meeting on 13th December.

The Council noted the petition and the matters raised in the debate, and it agreed that these be taken into account by the Council's Cabinet when making a final decision on the future of the Visitor Information Centre (due in February 2024).

We requested that the Council consult further with customers on the detailed proposals prior to any final decision, and we wait to hear if, when and how this will be done.
