Austin ISD  released a survey on August 14th as part of Phase II of the school consolidation process. This is our chance to make sure the district hears directly from the Bryker Woods community.

The survey is short and gives you the opportunity to:

• Share what makes Bryker Woods special and worth protecting.
• Provide input that isn’t reflected in AISD’s rubric.
• Voice concerns about the consolidation process and scoring.

Action Needed: Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and clearly state why Bryker Woods Elementary should remain open. Every response matters, and the district needs to hear from as many of us as possible.

Consider highlighting the following points in your responses to the two survey questions.

• What do you love about your campus that we need to hear about?
  • Unique IB Program
  • Historic Community Significance
  • Long-Term Value to AISD
• What other feedback do you have at this time?
  • Portable use should be accounted for in school size.
  • Bryker Woods' condition should not be listed as 'unsatisfactory' post-2022 Bond work.
  • Schools should not be penalized if there work under the Bond is completed later than other schools.
