Hi all
When I started this petition I did not know to the magnitude this would grow, and firstly I want to thank each and every one who has signed and shared this far and wide!
As I stated in a prior update, I didn't know what I was going to do to help get the biggest impact and for our voices to be heard. Since then I have spoken with Lambeth Council, AMG themselves and the wonderful people at NTIA who I have since been collaborating with! So with this in mind we are launching the next phase to #SaveBrixtonAcademy
So here it is, the next phase of operation #SaveBrixtonAcademy!
As amazing as the response to the petition has been, the licensing committee need to see more!
I have been working in collaboration with the great people at NTIA as they quite honestly have more expertise in this area than me!
We need to get in as many representations to the council as we can, so please see below for the link. It takes 30 seconds to send and every one counts. Please share this far and wide:
URGENT & IMPORTANT: “Save Brixton Academy” Campaign : FROM 13.00PM ON THURSDAY 11TH MAY (DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION TO LAMBETH COUNCIL MIDNIGHT MONDAY 15TH MAY)
Today we are launching a campaign to fight to “SAVE BRIXTON ACADEMY”, an iconic venue which is a huge part of the cultural tapestry of the UK.
The cultural heritage that this performance space represents is undeniable, and the millions of peoples lives that have been touched by it over the course of its existence is exceptional.
It has played host to some of the biggest artists in the world, with many artists sighting their pinnacle performances at the Academy.
More importantly, if this venue can be closed, tomorrow we could be doing the same to save your businesses.
We need the industry to stand up, work alongside the NTIA, Save Our Scene & Brixton BID to champion a campaign to show the importance of this business by submitting representations of support to Lambeth Council.
Over the course of the last few weeks, we have seen just under 100,000 people petition to keep this business open, thanks to the amazing work of Stuart O’Brien, but we want to make sure that we safeguard its future.
In order to stop this happening we need to get as many representations into Lambeth Council by Midnight on Monday 15th May.
We have formulated a letter for representation on our system, to make this process very simple for people who want to take part, taking no longer than 30 seconds to complete.

It would be amazing if you could post the artwork and link to the campaign across your social platforms in the lead up to the deadline.
