Hello everyone, we've had a busy week. Thanks for bearing with us. First and foremost, we're on Facebook! For all you donors, we're printing both shirts and zines this weekend. If everything goes according to plan, we should have everything shipping out by this time next week. We plan on drawing names out of a hat for the limited edition Black Blocks DeckSpecks this weekend. A major thank you to Adam, Ned, and Rodney for hooking that up for us. Those of you who donated anonymously, please email us your shirts size and address if you haven't done so already. This goes double if you want to be in the drawing for the glasses. I've heard there was confusion about the "educational materials" cited in a previous update. The majority of money raised will go towards a professionally made, thirty-two page booklet, aimed towards city officials who might not understand the significance of Black Blocks. We'll include the spot's history, the importance of the plaza in skateboarding, Black Blocks' cultural significance in the southeast and in skateboarding as a whole, photographs, key details from the petition, and more. We plan on printing a number of these booklets and presenting them along with a PowerPoint to the city at the earliest chance we get. Being as we're finishing up the zines this weekend, consider this a last call for photos! We'd love to include any photos you may have of Black Blocks in our projects.
