Belle Vue Stadium campaign supporter Paul Hines, excelled in the Skegness evening sunshine, taking second place running Tom Harris close in Heat 3, after an earlier 6th place in Heat 1.

Hines was 7th in the Final, and an excellent 4th in the Grand National, giving him the Red Top performer of the meeting award.
