Ahead of appearing at this weekend's MWA show in Peterborough, one of motor sport's most passionate drivers has offered his support for the campaign to #savebellevue.
The infamous Barry Lee who dominated many forms of motor sport from Hot Rod racing through to Rallying, has backed calls for Manchester's Belle Vue stadium to be saved from developers.
"I'm shocked to hear another oval raceway is threatened by development. People need to understand that without grass roots motor sport such as the Ovals, there is no Formula One racing.
So many motor sport stars have started their careers around the ovals.
Just to scrap them would take away a whole area of potential talent, and of course entertainment for many thousands. We have to fight this, everyone together.
Please everyone. If you love your motor sport, sign this petition." said Barry.
