Former Manchester United footballer and current Director of the Manchester United Youth Academy Nicky Butt, has backed calls to 'Save Belle Vue'.

Butt, whose glitterring career includes 12 seasons and 270 starts with United, 6 Premier League titles, 3 FA Cup wins, winning the UEFA Champions League in 1999, and 39 caps for England, was born in Gorton in the shadows of Belle Vue Stadium.

Upon hearing of the campaign to save the historic stadium late this week, Nicky Butt signed the petition.
