Petition updateSave BBC TV, Radio and Online from cuts
Massive cuts to BBC online, more cuts to TV and Radio to follow

May 17, 2016
You may have heard the announcement today about cuts to the BBC website. BBC Local News online, Travel, BBC recipes, iWonder, Newsbeat and Radio station websites are all going to be either deleted or archived.
George Osborne asked for these changes on the Andrew Marr show in July last year. He said "the BBC website is too imperial, it's crowding out newspapers." I think he meant the newspapers that support his party...
This debate has moved on to social media today and now needs to move to Parliament. Government has ignored its public consultation on the future of the BBC (the results of which were overwhelmingly in support of the BBC) and is making these changes WITHOUT A VOTE in Parliament.
You can help us to force a vote in Parliament by signing our new petition to Parliament. If we can get 100,000 signatures we can force a vote in Parliament and stop the Government appointing BBC Directors and telling it what it can and can't do.
Thank you for your continued support.
