Thanks for promoting the #BacktheBBC petition

Hi all, Thanks very much to those of you who have been promoting the #BacktheBBC petition on social media; it really helps and saves me from coming up with all the ideas! I'm a one man band here (in case you're wondering I don't work for the BBC) so it's the sharing on social media that helps reach new people that perhaps haven't thought about taking part in the Government's consultation on the future of BBC. Each new petition signature we get feeds straight into the offical email account for the Government's BBC consultation. One of the reasons for starting this petition is I fear the 300,000 plus who signed the original 38 degrees BBC petition may not get counted by the Department for Culture because that petition doesn't feed into the Government's consultation account - though I notice 38 degrees just lauched a new survey this week that does go to the correct place. The Department for Culture are on record as saying the only consultation responses they will consider are by letter, email or their rather loaded and anti-BBC online survey.
