Last week, a group of Downtown residents presented the case against mass events at Bayfront Park to the city commissioners. In response, Commissioner Russell is sponsoring an ordinance abolishing the Bayfront Park Management Trust and transferring responsibility for Bayfront and Museum Parks to the Miami Parks & Recreation Department. Please join your fellow Downtown Miami residents this Thursday to discuss the proposed ordinance and set the next steps in the effort to reclaim Bayfront Park for the community by ending mass events that close the park for months.
