Miami Officials Are Listening! The Downtown Neighbors Alliance is pleased to share that Miami Commissioners Carollo and Russell have asked the DNA to negotiate with the Park’s Board and event producers in order to find common grounds that will allow Bayfront Park to continue to host events while minimizing their destructive impact on downtown residents and businesses. The DNA Board delivered its position on park events to the city Commissioners last week, setting limits for the number of events per year, setup and tear-down time, noise level, playground access, traffic disruptions, alcohol sale and many more. Residents’ demands will be discussed at the next Bayfront Park Management Trust Board meeting on Tuesday, October 24 at noon. Please attend the meeting, support residents’ demands, and make your voice heard during the time designated for public comments.
