The Save Balyang Par 3 Golf Course petition has now reached over 600 signatures and has gained media attention.

City of Greater Geelong council election candidates Dr Daniel Garcia and Stretch Kontelj, have both offered to present our petition to council and to advocate on our behalf to Save Balyang Par 3 Golf Course. They both agree that Balyang Par 3 is a vital community facility that fosters health, social connection, and affordable access to sport for all abilities.

Both election candidates also agree that council should explore ideas presented by members and the public to boost participation before considering any form of redevelopment

The Geelong Advertiser has published an editorial online and in print on page 2 of Tuesday's newspaper (30th September 2024) titled "Changes not up to par". The editorial details some of the reasons why we are petitioning against City of Greater Geelong councils proposed redevelopment plans.
