At this year's London finals, London Youth Games launched #SupportYourGames with TeamGB champions, as they look to find new supporters and backers and a new home. See and hear why in this short video wwww.cpsp2020.com/news/ Over 30 different sports and 11 para-sports, culminate in the Finals weekend at Crystal Palace NSC. Over 130,000 young people from the city currently take part in the Games, which is supported by Sport England and all London Boroughs. Yet with the future of Crystal Palace National Sports Centre still far from certain, organisers have been forced to start looking for a new home. Financial backing is also needed for it to continue at its current scale and to ensure that those involved, along with future generations, do not miss out on taking part in years to come. Jon Hughes, Chief Executive, LYG: “There is no other event and organisation better at uniting young people from across all London’s 33 Boroughs and communities than the London Youth Games. Taking part also helps young people’s personal development, physical and mental health, and helps to ensure that they feel a part of their local community and their city” John Powell, Chair of CPSP added: “These Games started in 1977, and 40-plus years later the sports centre at Crystal Palace has remained their home, hosting well over 1.5 MILLION participants! It is quite simply a mini Olympics for young Londoners. So to all Londoners out there, please support the London Your Games campaign and #SupportYourGames” For prospective sponsors and backers, please get in touch at: info@londonyouthgames.org John Powell MBE Chair, Crystal Palace Sports Partnership e: chair@cpsp2020.com w: www.cpsp2020.com t: @cpsp2020
