It's been 48 hours since the County Manager presented a budget that proposes cutting every gymnastics program in Arlington — competitive, recreational, and adaptive — and closing Barcroft Sports & Fitness Center. Families got less than 24 hours' notice before it went public.
In 48 hours: 2,729 of you signed this petition. 96 families and Barcroft gymnasts submitted testimonials. Board members are responding. The story is getting coverage:

The public budget hearing is 29 days away. What happens between now and then is up to all of us.
The single most important thing you can do is show up to an Open Door Mondays and talk to a Board member face-to-face and get them to show up to Barcroft and engage. For the Open Door meetings, no appointments are needed, 6–8 PM, but you can register in advance. There are only two in-person sessions left before the hearing:
📍 March 9 — Lubber Run Community Center
📍 March 23 — Walter Reed Community Center (the night before the vote)
If you can only make one, make it March 23.
You can also email the Board directly: countyboard@arlingtonva.us
Thank you for sharing your stories, they are amazing and need to be heard — all 96 testimonials in 48 hours, please keep them coming.
We'd like to feature some of them on our Instagram to help the Board and the wider community see who these programs serve. If you'd like yours shared, or have photos or video to contribute, email savearlingtongymnastics@gmail.com
