12 months ago you kindly signed our petition to Save Harold's Park Farm Stables from closure by the Church of England, where over 95 horses had to be relocated and many friendship & support network groups split up.
Not only have we lost a huge livery hub, but we a show centre too.
As a former livery of the Harold's Park Farm Riding Centre, we lost a our livery yard for 98 horses, cross-country course, indoor and outdoor riding arena's. In the past 12 months we have seen even more large riding centres closed for development and we fear that within the next 5-10 years it will be increasingly harder to take part in horse riding in and around London & the South East of England
I'm also the District Commissioner for Enfield Chace Hunt Pony Club, and we have secured the use of Northaw Point to Point Course for the Pony Club and have invested heavily in creating a cross country training course and we're now hoping to invest further by developing the Cross Country course further and also add an all weather riding arena.
Our training ground sits on the outside of the M25 & ULEZ, and makes it perfectly placed for local riding clubs and members to access great facilities just on the outskirts of London. The ground is owned by the Enfield Chace Hunt Sports Club, a consortium, designed to safeguard the land from future redevelopment, as it is not owned by a single party.
If everyone could give even as little as £5, it would go a long way to helping us raise the important funds needed to continue to develop the Cross country course and groundworks, and help to build an all weather riding arena. Facilities such as this are rapidly being lost to developers.
Help us to save grassroot equestrian sport and help us create facilities for future generations to enjoy horse riding. And help us to make horse riding affordable to all.
