Thankfully most horses have found new homes, but a number of owners are still struggling to relocate. As you can see from the image, the impact has spread across Hertfordshire, Essex, and Suffolk.  Finding affordable facilities has been a huge challenge added with the huge increase in fuel costs and added travel time.  Once facilities such as Harold’s disappear from the landscape they can never be reclaimed. So sad to think that in years to come our children and grandchildren will only dream of what having access to horse riding is like.
