Let's be clear, there is not more GP availability being created by this new service. The available hours have been drastically been reduced to just 20 hours in comparison to the current daily service which is available from 8am-8:30pm. From Sunday 8th April the walk-in centre will be closed on Sundays and people wishing to see a GP are being asked to telephone 111. This will be a sad day and the beginning of the phasing out of our beloved service and I continue to encourage everyone to stand up to defend this vital service. Once it's gone, it's gone!
