This Saturday 9.30am: families, kids, prams and signs out the front of the centre
This Saturday, 7 November, at 9.30am, we're meeting out the front of the YMCA Acacia Ridge Early Education Centre.
We'd love to see as many families there as possible: bring the kids, the prams, and any home-made signs you'd like to hold up. It will take about 30 minutes.
Why photos? The media have our facts. What they want now is photos of real local families who want this centre to stay open. A picture of parents, children and prams outside the centre says more than any email.
A few things to know:
- Photos are only of families who are happy to be in them. If you'd rather your children aren't in a photo, just say so on the day.
- Photos may be shared with the media, only with your OK.
- Home-made signs are welcome. Kind, simple messages work best, like "Save our kindy" or "Hand it over, don't close it".
- Flyers will be there for anyone who'd like to hand a few out.

The centre is due to close on Friday 18 December. Every family who turns up on Saturday helps show it's worth handing over, not closing.
