Update – We need legal help…..

A conciliation conference (Section 34 of the Land and Environment Court Act 1979) will take place on Thursday 31 March 2016 at 9.30am before a Commissioner of the Court. We have the opportunity to make submissions to the Court during the on-site component of the Conference. It has been suggested we (the residents) obtain our own legal representative - does anyone know someone we could approach? Please email us. Ryde has approx 59 heritage buildings that are unprotected and could be demolished at any time, approx 20 of these heritage buildings have DA’s pending – we need to act now before they are gone. We need the Land and Environment Court to hear our concerns and protect 87 Bowden Street from demolition, and we need Ryde Council to protect these remaining buildings including 87 Bowden Street by introducing a common sense and friendly Heritage Protection Act.
