Eastern Lake is one of a few coastal dune lakes that exists throughout the world and Walton county is one of the few places that are home to these gems. Unfortunately, development and local government seem to think that tax dollars are more important then protecting these precious lakes and natural resources. Unfortunately common sense no longer dictates how local government operates and it has become evident that the only way to counter these illogical decisions made by Walton County is to tackle these problems in a legal setting. We believe that our only recourse is legal action to hear our voices in a court of law. Legal fees for this approach will directly go towards fighting for our lake and we expect the fees to go into the thousands of dollars .Your donations will allow the Friends of Eastern Lake to fight these important battles and ensure the lake as it is today will continue to be the place we loved to enjoy in the past and hope to enjoy in the future.
