Rules and Steps to Follow:
1. Identify Yourself
2. Relax
3. Be Brief
4. Identify the Development and it's location.
5. State your position on it, and what position you would like elected official to take.
6. Don't Argue
7. Keep trying to contact them through email and text.
8. Be Positive
9. Try busy numbers at least 3 times, than follow up with an email.
Here is a script to use:
Hello my name is ________________. I live in Alderwoman/Alderman district. I am opposed to the city maintenance facility being placed in Historic Carver Village. This is a request for you, and all city council members to please " Stop the Development where it is at".
My second request is that you allow the community an opportunity to grow, and develop something that will compliment the community Historic status, and not diminish it. Can I count on your support to make the necessary action to stop this development? We are certain that a development such as this, will threaten the public health and the environment.
Thank you Alderwoman/ Alderman________. I am great ful you took the time to listen and I pray you do what is in the best interest of Carver Village, the greater good, for the greater number.

There will be information cards arriving throughout Carver Village by Monday. Again, the community must mobolize and open your voice to get the change that's needed. Two actions we are advocating for 1. Stop the development where it is at. ( Don't allow the construction to began). 2. Decide on new development that can grow with the community.
