Irish Patients Still Without Sarcoma Specialist - Broken Promises

The struggle continues. How many more scandals will it take for change? Saint Vincents University Hospital has once again shown utter contempt for patients and their well being. Almost a year out from when promises were made we are still without a sarcoma specialist oncologist. We were promised an expert with the same or greater experience to our previous consultant in Saint Vincents University Hospital. But promises have been broken. The recruitment process was flawed. And we have learned the candidate won't start work until Summer 2018 as they are still completing their fellowship. Patients have sadly passed away and every day, week, month counts. We will not stop until we get the expert that we were promised by Simon Harris TD. Saint Vincents has been in the news lately and not for the first time.
