On February 27th, 2019, Missouri House of Representatives passed a bill known as Missouri Stands for the Unborn Act. The bill bans abortions when the unborn child's heartbeat is detected, unless in a medical emergency. The heartbeat can be detected as early as six weeks. This bill prohibits a woman's right to choose to wither nor not abortion is right for her past six weeks.
