Save the Humber Cinema

The Issue

Plazacorp is in the process of preparing an application to the city of Toronto to build a 14-storey condo development at 2442-2454 Bloor Street West. This proposal does not currently include the Humber Cinema, which first opened in 1949 as one of the first five cinemas of the Odeon Cinema chain.

As such, it is the goal of this petition to encourage Ward 13 Councillor Sarah Doucette to campaign to Toronto City Council to get the Humber Cinema declared a historical landmark like the nearby Runnymede Theatre.
