We are delighted to announce that CPS has agreed to keep the special ed preschool program at Bret Harte for another year! We are grateful that CPS was willing to listen and respond to the concerns of parents and community members who care about this program. They have made a decision that will be a boon for our community. During the coming year, CPS has pledged to review methods for assigning children to Bret Harte, while the principal and concerned parents have pledged to participate in a Parent Advisory Board to help maintain the program's level of excellence.
