Petition updateSantana’s Justice!Santana’s Cremation Service 12-5-22
Santana’s JusticeSan Jose, CA, United States
Dec 6, 2022

After three months, Santana can now be at rest. This was the closest we were going to be able to get near Santana. The police department didn’t take it serious from the beginning and let two months go by without searching the waters.

If Santana had been found sooner our family would’ve at minimum been able to have an open casket viewing. That possibility was also taken from us. Santana was also left at the Merced County coroners office for about a month before Santana’s Mom found out Santana had been ready since October 30th. Two days after his discovery and this important information was never communicated. Santana’s Mom called the week prior and was told again Santana wasn’t ready to be transferred to a funeral home.

It’s been a heartbreaking and painful process. Yesterday, Pastor Sonny who spoke at Santana’s cremation services revealed that he had never came across a situation as Santana’s and that he himself had a hard time holding back his tears. The pastor did cry after behind closed doors with family members. Thank you again to Brother David and Pastor Sonny for their words, love and care for Santana. Martinez Family Funeral Home in San Jose did their best to make sure Santana’s service was done with dignity.

We ask that you please share this petition with your friends and family to further spread the word. Thank you.
