I ride bicycle with my daughter.  Some roads do not have sidewalks or designated bike paths.  I was riding today on the left side of a neighborhood road, against traffic. In doing so, I am able to see on-coming traffic and make a defensive move if they swerve toward me.  I cannot do so with cars traveling at my back!  With the way drivers text and drive these days, it is a death wish to ride with traffic coming up behind you, with or without a bike path on the road. I was stopped by a sheriffs patrol today and told it is against the law to ride on the left.  This is a terrible law and if followed by children, could get them killed.  The law should allow riders a choice to either ride with, or against traffic.  This is a huge safety concern.
