As undergraduates, we do feel the gap in our current curriculum when it comes to neuroscience teaching and coursework. We think that without the necessary changes, UBC might be falling behind other universities when it comes to having a comprehensive neuroscience curriculum that reflects modern neuroscience research.

 
We believe that our current curriculum can support more neuroscience courses, especially higher level classes, and we can greatly benefit from having a neuroscience major. We hope that the faculty and administration provide their support to make sure that UBC and its future scientists receive the training and studies that they need to bring about world-class neuroscience research.

A large body of undergraduate students at UBC express interest in neuroscience courses and attempt to integrate them into their degrees. Though, there is a very limited number of up-to-date upper-level neuroscience classes offered.
