A Whistled Hello!
It was fun talking to the Indian Women Blog!
Journalist Lavanya Bahuguna covered the cause in great length, contributing with her own research which you can read here.
Also, here is the timeline for the events mentioned in the above article:
- 1st Aug 2019: Wrote to the Nominations Cell, ICH, UNESCO with my petition. (ICH is Intangible Cultural Heritage.)
- 9th Aug 2019: Wrote to Sangeet Natak Akademy (SNA) alongwith - a) The Telegraph news on Prof. Rakesh Sinha's plea for a heritage library and an ICH tag! b) A Press Release on SNA being the authority to prepare nomination dossiers.
- 14th Aug 2019: Received communication from the ICH Cell of SNA! It was heartening to learn about the proposal to the Advisory Board on ICH and Diverse Cultural Traditions of India relating to UNESCO (ABICHU) in the upcoming meeting!
Thank you for your signatures and for your continued support and interest.
