The application is due to be considered by the Committee on Wednesday 16 December. Before the meeting the Committee will be visiting the areas which would be affected by the proposals. This is so the Committee can get an appreciation of the local impact the proposed development could have. In order to ensure that the Committee is fully aware of how the construction of this advertising hoarding could impact on you, we have negotiated that the Committee will visit two locations in relation to this application; Ray Hall Lane and the Corner of Andrew Road and Manorford Avenue.
It will add more weight to our objection if as many residents as possible are able to attend the site visit as it will act as a visual display of our opposition. There are strict rules around lobbying of Planning Committee Members, you will be able to speak to the Service Manager for Planning and the Chair and Vice Chair of the Committee but will not be able to lobby individual members.
The visit will arrive at Ray Hall Lane at 2pm, should you wish to be present for the visit please arrive by 1.50pm. The second visit at Andrew Road/Manorford Avenue will take place at 2.15pm, again please arrive 10 minutes prior.
The Planning Committee will make its decision after the site visit at its formal meeting which will commence at 5pm and be held in the Council Chamber at the Council House, Oldbury. This is a public meeting so you are welcome to attend to hear the debate. We will be sitting with any objectors present, and will speak in opposition of this application. Please note that the timings for the Planning Committee are very strict, the meeting will commence at 5pm prompt so please ensure you are seated in advance.
As this application will have been visited on the day it will be one of the first applications considered.
If you are planning to attend either the site visit or the Planning Committee meeting it would be helpful if you could let one of us know.
Finally if you haven’t already signed the petition, or not everyone in your household has, please sign as soon as possible so we can have the best chance of this application being rejected.
